A filament loaded with real wood fiber, so the part is wood through its whole thickness rather than a print wearing a wood-look coating.
Worked through the grits by hand until the layer lines are gone and the surface takes stain evenly, the way a piece of furniture is prepared.
Hand brushed and wiped back. The wood fiber drinks the stain and the print lines return as grain, so no two pieces read the same.
Clear coated the way furniture is sealed — the grain stays visible and the surface goes hard.
